I stumbled upon this book while staying in Maine. I went into a gift shop looking for magnets and other trinkets and saw this book. The instant I read it, I loved it and bought it. This story is about a group of children in search of a moose. It’s full of onomatopoeic words and uses the rule of three. I decided to add it to my Pinterest hub full of picture books I’ve read and love. I wanted to attach a good link to the pin, and I found out a fun bit about the illustrations. In an article, someone had written that the illustrations include parts of the moose throughout the book and not just at the end. I was definitely surprised because I had not noticed it before. This surprise deepened my appreciation for illustrations, and the fact that the dog in the story was the only one who noticed is a cute touch overall. When the children find more than one moose, it makes a satisfying ending for this picture book.
